joe fabianski – assistant basketball coach
joe fabianski is in his third season as an assistant jv/varsity basketball coach. gaining experience as a young man at the skrinar center in highwood fueled his passion for instruction. he had a brief two-season baseball stint on the varsity level at st ignatius college prep in the mid-nineties. this was followed by a couple seasons of officiating basketball in the chicago catholic league. the opportunity at regina has been a welcomed one. the challenges have been far outweighed by the joys of the kids’ improvement and work ethic. for him, it is a process vs product focus. he believes the girls have unlimited potential and the lessons learned in athletics are applicable in ways far beyond the court.
he is supported by his wife, bridget, and his 3 children (john 7, judy 9, and terry 11) who are often seen running around and helping out at practice. they reside in the south edgebrook neighborhood. he is an 18 year veteran of the chicago fire department.
