the orchesis dance ensemble performance, “dance with me,” wowed the audience on friday night in the o’shaughnessy theater. ten originally-choreographed dances were performed by 27 members, in a range of dance styles from modern dance to hip hop.
a highlight of the evening was grace golembiewski’s dance titled, “dispute,” danced in beautiful black ballet costumes with inventive choreography. to close the show, the seniors shined in their hilarious 80’s workout inspired mashup. the sheila tully school of irish dance dancers were special guests and showcased the two irish dance routines that earned them a spot in the world competition in scotland next month. we wish them, especially our own maggie stutz, ’21, the best of luck!
